Guardian Flight is a leading provider of air medical services, caring for and transporting patients in rural area hospitals to large tertiary care facilities in metropolitan areas. Our fleet includes King Air C90/200, Pilatus PC12 and Learjet45 aircrafts. We fly in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, Nebraska, New Mexico, North and South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming.

Competitive starting salary $74,000-$75,000 + commuter expenses paid

Position Overview:

As a "Float" you will fly from the closest International Airport to one of our bases that need coverage during your 2 weeks on schedule. We do provide Company Crew houses at each of our bases. The ideal candidate will live near a major international airport and in close proximity to our bases such as Phoenix, Las Vegas, Denver, Salt Lake, Los Angeles.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operates the aircraft in safe and efficient manner.
Maintains a schedule set by the Chief Pilot at the designated base.
Ensures the aircraft is ready to be dispatched.
Complies with all FAR requirements and Guardian requirements.
Maintains cleanliness of the aircraft.
Accurately completes all required paperwork.
Educational improvement related to awareness of industry best practices.
Ensures that all pertinent information about flight operations will be disseminated through the Operational Communications Center.
Conducts himself/herself in a professional manner at all times.
Attends meetings when required, and is required for training and check-flights outside of normal duty shift rotations.
Upholds company policies and procedures.
Performs other duties during a scheduled shift as requested by Director of Operations or Chief Pilot.
Maintains a safety culture as a primary concern.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

ATP Written Certification
2500 Hours Total Time
1000 Hours PIC
500 Hours Multi-Engine
100 Hours Night Flying
75 Hours Instrument Time

*Please note this is a single pilot IFR environment

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Frequently required to sit for long periods of time
Occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Frequently lift and/or move a minimum of 70 pounds
May assistance with loading and unloading patients
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Required to work in outside weather conditions
